I found cheap kettles that cost just £5 all the way up to designer kettles at £99 (in fact the Argos cordless kettle for £5 had over 1800 largely positive reviews!).

Typical sizes of a UK kettle ranges from 0.5 litre up to 1.7 litre. A 1.7 litre kettle will boil enough water for 6-8 cups.

The best kettles have good build quality, are quick to boil water, relatively quiet and have easy to see water level indicators. Poor performing kettles were basically the opposite – plus they leaked, or just didn’t work!

Overall there are many great new kettles for sale in the UK, scoring well with owners, and functioning as expected. As we have seen, some really stand out.
